Campfire on Beach at the Walla Walla College Marine Station

At first I didn’t want to go to outdoor ed, but after, I wanted to go again. I wish school was as fun as outdoor ed.

   Adult Classes and Programs

Academic Adventures has expanded to provide high quality adult programming and classes that feature the Pacific Northwest.  Classes focus on subject areas and activities that combine well to take us to new levels of learning.  Since 2004 we have worked closely with Skagit Valley Community College's community education programs to provide a variety of youth and adult programs and classes.  These have ranged from Natural History by Kayak, to Aging Gracefully, and Vegetarian Lifestyle and cooking classes.

Beginning fall 2009 Skagit Valley College has re-started its community education offerings on a limited scale and we will be providing occasional classes again through SVC.  In addition Academic Adventures will continue to provide content rich and activity based courses for the active and inquiring mind.  Our classes will change periodically so please check back often.  If you would like to receive periodic updates of new course offerings please contact us.

We look forward to seeing you in one of our courses soon!

Sincerely,

Andrew J. Rice, Executive Director
